5 Minute Shallot Salad Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shallots
    Dice the shallot and place it in a small bowl. Cover with the apple cider vinegar and let it sit for 5 minutes to soften and mellow.
  2. Mix the Dressing
    Add the Aleppo pepper, salt, lemon juice, and olive oil to the shallot mixture. Whisk everything together until well combined.
  3. Taste and Adjust
    Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning as needed. If you prefer a sweeter dressing, add honey to taste and whisk again.
  4. Serve
    Pour the dressing over your salad or dish, toss to combine, and enjoy!

Note: Sometimes I use a combo of olive oil and chili olive oil from Brightland.
