At my house, the kitchen is the place to be. It’s where my family, friends, and I gather to talk, celebrate, cook, laugh, and—most importantly—eat. While I’ve always enjoyed cooking and creating new recipes, it was only after becoming a certified Nutritionist and Holistic Health Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition that my passion for food became a philosophy for living. I believe that food has the power to nourish, heal, and help us lead lives we love; cooking (and eating!) is the journey that gets us there. It’s taken me many years and thousands of recipes later to learn that cooking can be whatever you want it to be, or whatever is in the fridge. My recipes are grounded in this same approach; they can be followed down to the exact ounce or thrown together with an “it’s fine” attitude of eyeballing and tasting, all while being nutritious and, of course, delicious.
