Yorkshire Pudding

You can’t not fall in love with Yorkshire pudding, they are a British staple. Yorkshire pudding is a common English side dish that is often served with a meat and potato dish and always served with gravy. I don’t make them often but they are a staple at my holiday tables.

Ingredients

Scale

7 oz all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
3 eggs
10 fl ounces milk
4 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

Place your flour into a large bowl with a pinch of salt.

Add your eggs one at a time and use a fork whisk to combine. Gradually add the milk and whisk until there are no lumps (you can easily do this step in a blender for a couple of seconds if you have a hard time getting rid of all the lumps.)
Pour into a jug and leave covered in the fridge for at least an hour or even overnight.
When you are ready to cook the Yorkshire puddings, heat the oven to 425 degrees. Using a 12 hole muffin tin pour 1 teaspoon of oil into each of the muffin holes and place in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes until the oil is nice and hot.
Carefully remove the muffin pan and working quickly pour the cold batter into the muffin pan. (about 1/3 of the way up each hole.) Immediately place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Do not open the oven while they cook. Remove from the oven and enjoy.
